Ok conversion question

This is going to seem crazy I know but how do you convert a svcd to a vcd. The reason I am asking is a friend of mines dvd plays vcds but not svcd's. So I need to know the best way to convert them to vcd's so they will play in his dvd player. Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.

Try mux-ing it in TMPGEnc as a standard VCD. It seems to trick the player into thinking the SVCD is a VCD.
