    I have a mediocre avi (divx?, 188,000bytesp1 177,000bytesp2) of st*r wa*s II, but i cant get tmpgenc to recognize it as a video file?

    Windows media player has no trouble with it.

    Real Player doesnt work.

    i want to play it on my dvd player, any ideas of what to try?? i dont mess with divx often enough to know, mostly fresh dvd rips for me..

    Use virtual dub to open it, and than save the wave file (see virtual dub help) seperate from it. You should than be able to open the divx video and divx audio in tmpenc
