By now I have become used to using tmpgenc and VirtualDub to create files for burning through VCDEasy.
But surely there must be an easier way? An automatic way!
Is it possible to script or automate the process in anyway? I would love to be able to give a filename (or list of filenames) set the program(s) running and wake up in the morning when all is finished.
Someone must able to help!

There are easier ways if you don't care about quality, and will accept the odd encode with wrong aspect ratio and no sound.
The best way is with TMPGenc. If you want to automate the process you can set up a list of jobs for it to do. File>Add current job to batch list... -
The batch process in tmpgenc I have used before. I noticed a batch system in VirtualDub also.. but couldnt find a way of creating the jobs to pass to it

File>Save avi then tick *add operation to job list and defer processing*. When you have assembled all your jobs go to File>Job Control (or hit F4).
