How do I convert AVI to Mpeg 2 for DVD

I have captured and created 2 AVI files from my DV cam using Premier. (1 file is 26 Gig the other is 7 Gig) I have tried what is the best way to join these then Mpeg them to fit on a DVDR. I have tried Cleaner 5 on the larger file and got a 5 gig video and a 1.3 gig audio track.


I thought about using cleaner on both files...multi plexing and joining them in TMPGEnc then mpeging them againg using REmpeg( Dunno it this would work and I would loose qual by mpeging them twice so prob not a good idea)

Any help would be greatly appreciated as my head is spinning with this one.
