Please can anyone help with merging

Hi!!

I am trying to convert 'Insomnia' to dvdr
I copied the two mpeg files to my hard drive and used TMPGenc to merge them together...problem is that it cuts the movie short??
Tried to run the second disc through Vcdgear with 'fix mpeg errors' ticked but this didn't seem to work either.??

Can anyone offer me any advice on what is happening and how i can correct this as i now have a dvd copy of 'Insomnia' incomplete.

This is only for SVCD mpeg2

you could try { You must have codec 3.11 installed)

2) Loading the mpeg2 from cd to dvd2avi
like so: File | Open {Select your mpeg2 file on cd2 on your dvd rom}
Select Files of type to | All Files(*.*)
And load to dvd2avi

Save as avi : Call it say Insomniacd2

Select No Recompression and select DivX MPEG-4 Low Motion
Configure set Data Rate(KPS) to 6000 then OK then ok again

This process will take say 20 to 30mins

3) Check you have the full avi if as load to TMPEGnc recode to dvd

It may or may not work if has for me in the past. Hope it helps
