NO sound when capturing with Virtual Dub

I followed all the instructions given in the tutorial of how to capture live TV to AVI with various codecs. I used the PICvideo codec. And didn't get sound, I used other codecs, and still didn't get sound. When i use the software that came with my Pinnacle PCTV pro, sound works fine. Please advise me. Thank you!

look left and check the capture guide and look at the problem solving solutions at the bottom of the page.

It's almost as if people automatically click Forum and ignore the in-depth guides that are right in fron of their eyes.

Make sure you have checked "Line In" in your mixer's "Recording" section. Your TV Card's software could be automatically doing this, and therefore works fine. VirtualDub doesn't check/change this setting. Mixer (or Volume Control) is in Accessories->Multimedia
