Hello,
I am having trouble playing Centropy SVCDs on my Panasonic SC-HT75 DVD player...it's the player that comes with the home theater package. The problem is that the picture and sounds are very choppy and makes it almost impossible to watch them. I do not know if the player is SVCD compatible but it can play cd-r's and video cds and all that other good mess...anyone have any ideas?

It sounds like either your player dont like pal or the bitrate is to high for it.

Best option is to buy a cheap APEX at WalMart and play the PAL SVCDS to your NTSC TV. For my compadres who are to cheap or stubborn to do this, they have been reencoding to NTSC while those of us with HTPCs or APEXs have been watching moviez. I did even make some VHS copies for my friends still living in the 80's.
