  1. I have one of these machines (Raven Gray) and have put it to considerably good use (not even close to a hundred recordings yet, though) and I was wondering:

I only use the machine to record TV shows and never just digital audio, and I was wondering if the recording quality ever degrades over time (not the quality of the already made CDs, but the recording ability of the machine itself). If so, can someone give me an estimate on when recording quality starts to degrade and what signs I should look for to determine if recording quality is starting to degrade?

    Thanks.

  2. Plus, I notice when I hook the machine up to my Digital Cable Box and TV (using high-quality gold A/V cords) there is MINOR, barely noticeable smearing of the preview image (before I record -- I haven't checked to see if the smearing is visible on the finished CD-Rs). For example, it is most noticeable when stars (from outerspace) appear on the screen. They are slightly smeared.

It is also like this when I play VCDs -- such as the Star Wars Trillogy from EurekaMovies.com.

    Any possible reasons for this?

    Thanks.

  3. Hey Ryan

I have only actually used my terapin for analog inputs from cd player and they sound good.Movies on the other hand is a totally diffrent story.

The reason I have only used it this way is because I tried one movie and it was sort or blurry, you might be talking about the same thing when you say smeared.

The reason I am posting this is because I think my Terapin is bad. I met someone on this site with the terapin and he basically does the same as you records of digital cable, He says its great I don't think mine is. He was going to mail me a demo from his Terapin so I could compare but that was a while ago and I haven't heard from him since. So I asking you if you are willing to send me a demo disc, so I can see if I need to send my Terapin back to the dealer for repair. I of course will pay all the expenses cost of disc and shipping. You can pm and we can talk about this if you would like.

    PLEASE HELP
