Has anybody used the new tmpgenc 2.54a cpu setting? If you save the result from the first pass. How much faster to do the 2-pass compared to 2.53? thanks

Seems nobody has used this option, I did some test myself. The result is the encoding time is reduced by one third for 2-pass VBR.
During the first pass, the remaining time shown is the same as without saving the result. During the second pass, the remaining time is decreased by three minutes for each actually passed minute. It takes only one third of the time for the second pass. If your total encoding was 18 hours, the first pass is 9 hours and the second pass will reduced to 3 hours and the total will be 12 hours. It is a significant improvement.
