    Having authered and burned dvd to play in standalone player it wont play in my ps2 anyone know how to do this.

    I'm sorry to say, you can not play a VCD on a PS2 game machine. Thier just incompatible. I've checked around, since a friend of mine has a PS2. And they just wont play VCD's. And there's no hardware add on to help either.

    Need more info. What program did you to author, brand/type of disc, etc. I'm using a Pioneer A04 DVD-R and most stuff plays fine in the PS2. I say most because some of the SVCD stuff I've converted is PAL and, therefore, won't play in the PS2 (I'm in the U.S.)
