I got the divx codec, reencoded my avi to mpeg-1 (FACEOFF, at 23.976 fps, 720X480 pixelation [4:3 - NTSC], 192 kps audio, XVCD format), and the picture and sound looked and sounded great, but, the image was really jumpy...how can I keep the picture and sound quality and get a smooth playing video image?

I encounter the jumpy motion problem too. I am running some tests at the moment with the TMPGENC advanced option: setting>advanced>do not frame rate conversion (on). The video is good after encoding
but now there are audio synchronization problems
. Hope this will help you. Tell me your expiriences
