  1. I have making vcd's now for about 3 months.I use DVD2AVI to get my .d2v and my wav file.But the last two DVD's i ripped and used DVD2AVI to get my .d2v file also produced an mpeg audio file with a delay of -66ms.Can anyone tell me what this means? and how if effects my final encode using TPMGenc.

  2. I don't know much about the dvd part but I do remeber hearing something about hte audio having to be just a fraction shorter that the video or something like that so maybe that is why it has the -66ms delay. Hope this offers some explanation

  3. does this mean that when i encode to vcd that when i go into TMPGenc and you have the ability to select source range that i should set the audio as well to -66ms to get the final mpeg to sych right?

    Yes, i think that is what you do if you are using an mpeg audio as your audio imput file. If you want to use a wav file, you have to select the AC3 track in DVD2AVI, just change audio track in the program and then play the movie in DVD2AVI for a few second and it should tell you what audio format the audio channel that you have selected is in the information window. Hope that helps
