    I used this http://www.vcdhelp.com/avi2divx.htm
    Here's my problem my original mpeg was only about 600mb. After converting with VirtualDub it went up to about 950mb. I thought .avi's are supposed to lower the file size. I used Divx 5 compression, all and any help would be appreciated. Let me know how I can get the lowest filesize when converting.

    Sorry if this has been asked before... I surched but no luck...

    AVi's will always be bigger. MPG is a compression to make it smaller.
