    I have a phillips 701 dvd player that plays ntsc svcds fine but i want it to play a PAL svcd and when i do the screen is all mesed up. I know its not my tv too, cause i hooked my dvd player up to my computer monitor and it still didnt work. So i was wondering if there is a way to trick the dvd player into playing the PAL Svcd without having to convert the file from PAL into NTSC.

    Some players play PAL just fine on NTSC - Philips 711 & Apex 1500 do to my knowledge (PAL VCD test disc from vcdimager.org)

    Technically there should be no trick - it can or cannot
    Panasonic DMR-ES45VS, keep those discs a burnin'
