What procedure or tools do I have to run to put subtitles to my VCD after ripping a DVD with Smartripper? Smartripper creater VOB's. I can't find a procedure in VCDHELP to combine the VOB and *.srt (or *.ssa) as input to TMPGenc.

You cannot add subtitles directly through TMPGEnc.
You need to add two more steps to the procedure:
1 - Rip with smartripper
2 - Use DVD2AVI
3 - convert the movie output with VFAPI
4 - load the VFAPI movie part in virtual dub, and use the "VOBSUB filter.
5 - frameserve.
6 - Load the frameserved movie file, and the audio file (created by DVD2AVI) into TMPGEnc.
This looks like a lot of manual work, but it will take a few minutes.
If you want to know where to download and maintain all the programs listed above, the please check the guides from this site: It is quite well explained...The Dutchman -
