  1. On every VCD I make except for one, the audio on disc 2 plays disc 1's audio after about 5 minutes of playback!

I have no clue why that would happen, any help.
I use TMPEGnc to chop the MPG into two, any alternatives, is that causing my problem?

I can't tell you exactly what is happening...but that it is not TMPEG...cause thats all I use and I've never had that happen, and I cut and join all sorts of stuff.
I am more apt to think its got to do with the source...where did original video come from? What do use to frame sync before using TMPEG?
I always do Rip with smartripper> then run vobs through DVD2AVI> then use the files from that for TMPEG.... I have started fitting all my movies on 1 disc..but before I would encode entire movie...then cut into 2 parts using TMPEG mpeg tools...cut and join.

  3. Hmm, I'm starting to think it's the way I encoded the video in TMPEGnc, because I made one of my movies in a different VCD format than the rest and it had no problems... I will see if that's right when I burn my next VCD...

I will explain a little better...
I used MPEG-1 System (automatic) for one of my VCDs and it was fine. The rest (Problem VCDs) I used MPEG-1 Video-CD.

    Could that have caused it??

  4. I cut my MPEGs (all VCD compliant) with TMPGEnc all the time and I remux them them always with "MPEG-1 Video-CD" (the correct setting).

    I don't have your problem...

What version of TMPGEnc are you using? What is the complete (in detail) procedure that you are making your VCDs. Are they compliant VCDs or XVCDs?

  5. OK, now I'm sure, that is my problem.
I just made another VCD with my original settings and it worked fine...

    vitualis, I am using TMPGEnc 2.5, MPEG-1 Video-CD, VCD 2.0.

  6. I cut/remux with the older versions of TMPGEnc (v12a works fine and v12h does the same [the version I use currently]).

Perhaps you could try using an old version of TMPGEnc for cutting/remuxing ... rumour has it that it is better at the task, but I don't know for sure.

Nevermind about this problem, I've gotten it fixed, MPEG-1 System (automatic) fixed the problem completely.

But, now I have another problem similar to this...
I was trying to convert The Matrix (DivX AVI) into The Matrix (NTSC MPEG-1) and I burned the MPG to a VCD, played it on my standalone and some little bits of the movie are unsycnronized, BUT it's an on and off thing, like the movie plays fine then, it skips a few frames audio is slightly unsycnronized with video then fixes itself, and then it happens again. Also, I've noticed it usually happens when there is alot of action and fast movement, and help with this?

(This is the first time this happened, and this time I cut the movie using source range without entirely encoding it then cutting.)
