from DivX to VCD (stand-alone)..??)

sorry, I am new on this topic, so maybe a stupid question:
I read in a magazine that the newest version of Nero (5.51 is capable to burn DivX-files to VCD, so you can watch them on a 'stand-alone' ( under the television..) Is this or will this be possible..????

I think the newest version is 5.5.3.5 and you are right. Drag and drop a .avi file into the nero window and it will convert it to .mpg and burn as Video-CD. If you want a quality MPEG, use other ways of conversion. Go to the "How to..." sections and read. This is more usefull than read the magazines.
