    Easy way:
If you want to save a Quictime movie to your hard drive, you need Quicktime Pro to do this. Once the movie has finished downloading to your browser, click on the triangle in the Quictime controller and choose "Save As Quicktime Movie...". And voila, it's that easy.

More complicated, not so easy way:
Another way to do this (and this applies to any other medium) without having to pay for Quicktime Pro, is to go to your browser's Preferences > files helpers and tell it to save it to your hard drive instead of using the plugin. Or if you know a bit of html, choose View > Source and search for src="http://ww.website.com/quictime.mov"...then use internet Explorer's download manager to download the movie (this might not work for some movies that are copy protected)

  4. Or you can be cheap like me and do a search in your "C:\windows\temporary internet files" folder using the find now function and look for files using "*.mov" which as you probably know will list files with a .mov extension. Quicktime files usually have to be downloaded to your hard drive to play, yes even embedded ones, i've done this on secure sites, let me know if this helps. Oh, you'll want to move those files out of that folder because they're kinda temporary.
