  1. hi! im new to this. Im editing my daughter's birthday video using studio 7, now i want to add in some still pics taken from my dig cam (they're range from 1.7mb to 2.1mb). my question is do i have to resize the image or keep the way they are, what is the best size/resolution should they be before i import them in studio 7? and what format should they be used? these pics are perfect when viewing on tv using a/v cable with my camara(jpeg). I have tried to use the search funtion but i cant find any topic close to my needs. any help would be appreciated. btw, im trying to make VCD. thanks.

  2. I have added stills to my Studio 7 projects in the past - works well and Studio should resize to what it wants. The resolution will be shrunk to VCD resolution 352x240 (NTSC US) on output. Try it & see if you like the quality.

You'll want to think of an audio track to add unless you like pictures with no sound. The kewl transitions in Studio 7 give you lots of options.

For a sample of still pictures to VCD, go the site below and go down the page to VCD Intro.

Try 704X480 for better resolution. If VCD is an option in your software I wouldn't think you we need to resize (wouldn't the software do what's necessary??). If not, I'd use the compliant VCD resolution of 704x480.
