I did everything from the FAQ that was under the newbie link but it only plays on my DVD player in my PC, I have a Sony stand alone DVD player that says it only plays certain cdr/cdrw but I have the silver top like it says its suppose to play. The file will only play in PowereDVD, so did I convert the file correctly?? TIA

did you check your player in the compatibility list, to see what kind of encoding you can do? My sony, for example, can only read XVCD 2300 kbps maximum bitrate
and don't forget to make it "non-compliant" when/if burning in Nero

Have you verified that the brand of CDR actually works in your DVD player. Try copying an audio cd and see if that plays. If it does'nt you know that it is the CDR that is at fault.
