    I have alot of movies and my hard drive is nearly full so i want to make them vcd.So i have tried many softwares.This time im using avitompeg.And when i try to convert it says error obtaining class factory for encoder object.

    Can anyone help me or tell me a software which will help me???

    If you just want to convert AVI's to VCD compliant MPG's then just use TMPGEnc.. It will allow you to determine how big of a file you end up with.
    Then Burn with NERO, remember if you changed the bitrate to UNcheck the standard compliance box for VCD's.
