    I need help in making avi files mpeg or mpg files , every program i get it will say it cant open the avi file . I had this one program but it took like 15 hours to make an avi to mpeg file .....do any one know a program i could use

    your avi files are probably divx if you downloaded them in which case you need to have the right codecs. download divx3.11 alpha and the 5.02 bundle and use tmpgenc to encode
