  1. I get this error msg "illegal floating decimal point calculation order" in tmpgenc when i'm trying to convert A BEAUTIFUL MIND divx into Svcd. It happens 10 minutes into part one. Anyone know how to get by this or fix it?[/b]

  3. found a way around that.i hate that problem.when it reaches that point,hit stop ecoding or it should stop automatically.reopen the same file but this time go to the settings tab at the bottom and maybe its the video tab .look 4 something that says source range.double click it.now just move the slider past that part and click set beginning frame and then move the slider to the end and click set end frame.hit ok,apply.then the main window comes up again .make sure the source range box is checked.if not check it.this will tell mpgenc to start after the error point.u will have a gap of a few seconds and now you will have 2 pieces.its a bummer.but at least you get past that dumb error.just burn both halves onto 2 seperate cds.good luck

    I use the same method as above...encode the parts before and after the glitch...but after wards I use the join option under the mpeg tools on TMPG to make both my encoded mpgs back into one.
