Folks
I had this burning tool VCDEasy working fine. I used to burn many ripped DVDs. Recently I formatted my system so I had to re-install the application. Now it says that the CDRDao is disabled. I don't remember what I did when I previously installed and used it. But now I am stuck. Please help me out. Thanks.

Goto Setting. Click VCDEASY setting
Then select "Enable CDRDAO Integration". -

if you installed win2k or winxp make sure you installed aspi drivers cause they are need for cdrdao and those o/s dont install with aspi layers

In VCDEasy, in the bottom right corner, does it say ASPI seems valid: yes, or ASPI seems valid: no? If it says ASPI seems valid: no, that is your main problem. In that case I suggest you go to: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/cdr_software/cdr_tools/frcaspi.cfm , download the ForceASPI drivers, install them and reboot. If after you reboot, it shows "ASPI seems valid: yes" then on the CDRDAO settings page, select generic-mmc as the force driver for the CD Writer, select your specific CD Writer in the dropdown menu for that section and check the force execution box. Now you should be able to burn using CDRDAO, which is the CD burning program built in to VCDEasy.

New problem has aroused..I mean arised..whatever man..anyway everything seems to work fine until it start to Write The DATA where it fails to write it..creates the image and everything..the error explains that this problem is usually caused by a bad ASPI or CDRDAO driver..it's one of these 2...is their anyway to fix this problem cuz this is very annoying....I have Windows 98 Second Edition, a 450MHZ Processor, Im makin an SVCD, the Mpeg2's work fine, a 20 GIG Hardrive, I just reformatted my Hardrive and set everything so their is no way in hell anything wrong with my machine, no spyware no errors nothing...anyway around this problem please explain...if not how do you get rid of these Drivers...

With the latest version of VCDEasy I noticed you can use Nero's ASPI layer. If you have Nero, have you tried switching to the Nero ASPI driver to see if this fixes your latest problem? -
so I just install Nero and burn using VCDEasy...because I really don't want to use Nero because I was Kinda having a similar problem, the SVCD would be made BUT it would come out all jerky...I posted a summary about the problem on the SVCD Authoring area but didn't get any reply...BUT i will try your method..
