Whenever I rip a DVD and try to make a VCD, I always have problems with getting the audio synchronization. The audio never matches the video on the MPEG file. What can I do about this? What

Do you use DVD2AVI?
I assume that you use TMPGEnc for conversion to Mpeg1 (VCD)
I have never encountered this problem, but you could do this:
First convert the video part to Mpeg1. Then convert the audio part to Mpeg1. Open TMPGEnc and and use the Mpeg tools to add the video and audio streams to one Mpeg file.
