How Do you Conversion AVI Files to Burn to DVDR

The basic steps are
Convert the video to dvd mpeg format
Author, make chapters,menus and create the vobs from the mpeg
And last burn it.

You could let your authoring software do it all for you, if you have for example sonic mydvd or dvdit just add the avi and it will convert,author and burn it.

Or you could convert with tmpgenc to dvd mpeg and then author and burn the dvd mpeg with your authoring tool. With this method you have much more control over all settings when converting to dvd.
