  1. I am a newbie to this vcd stuff and have been tring to get it right, so bear with me please.

First off I did a search to see if I could find any info on what it was I wanted to do and I did not see anything that came close to it.
a friend of mine uploaded spidermen to me and I have been having the worst of luck tring to convert it to another formate so I could watch it on my dvd player, and I found out that virtualdub does not rip the audio from that movie. so therefor I have yet to figure out a way to convert.
The file name is Spiderman.SVCD.TS-Centropy and it is supposed to be mpeg but after playing with it for a while I have no idea if it is or not.

I would really be greatful if someone could help me with this conversion, i have all 3 cds for this movie of the same. I would like to find out what I need to convert it, please.

    Thanks for the help....

  2. Those files shouldn't need any conversion.

I'm assuming you've tried playing them in your DVD player and that you have one capable of reading CD-R and SVCD...

Try loading the MPG in VDub - if it loads its an MPEG-1, if you get an error its an MPEG-2. That release says SVCD right in the title, so it should already be a properly made MPEG-2 that should be playable in your standalone as is.
