I am getting artifacts in some frames when capturing at 480 lines. I use AVI_IO and Huffyuv compression. Since I find this so difficult to describe, I'm including a couple of frame captures to illustrate.
Here's what the frame prior to the corrupt frame looks like:
And here's what the corrupt frame looks like:
The corrupt frames show up on both Win98 and Win2000, and I've also tried iuVCR to capture. Also, I previously used an Aver TV98 capture card, and it had the same symptoms. The problem has not always existed, so I must have done something.
Can anyone help?
Thanks

Oh Gilligan!!
Can't help with your particular setup. However I have WinTV go card and use virtualdub for capture. Works brilliantly even with quite poor input quality. If you are using XP read the advice on the Virtualdub web site which advises not to install the latest WDM drivers available at the Hauppauge site.....good luckLove makes the world go round -
Thanks for the input. Since posting my original message, I have purchased a new motherboard with a different chipset than before. So far (knock on wood) I've not seen the problem I mentioned earlier.
Incidentally, I have tried Virtualdub for capturing in the past, but it always dropped too many frames. I currently use AVI_IO and I wouldn't change it for anything. I never drop any frames with it. Like Virtualdub, it requires VFW drivers, so I had to make sure that the next capture card I bought had VFW drivers for Win2k (the Aver TV98 card I was using only had WDM drivers). So far the WinTV has been working well, but I'll keep my fingers crossed that the corruption in the video doesn't come back.
