Thanks to this website I've been able to convert successfull
the following DVD's:
QUEEN-We Will Rock You (concert)
Freddie Mercury- the video collection
Freddie Mercury- The Untold Story
RED PLANET - SF movie
Specially RED PLANET was amazing, after checking it on my
stand-alone player (a YAMAKAWA 780) I was amazed by the quality! It was a steady, quite sharp picture! Beter than VHS! (I got a Sony wega 32-inch 100hz flatscreen widescreen TV).
I used normal mpeg1-videocd as template and motion sensitivity set to highest, I burned the videocd's with Nero 5.5.2.3 using "videocd" as setting.
I'm very pleased with the result! there was no blockiness in the picture at all!
Specially in the We Will Rock You DVD from Queen I can see blocks, its a dark video, filmed in a hall, i used "normal" as setting for the motion sens. Now I'll just encode
using "highest"!
Ofcourse I'll keep on expirimenting with settings, this is fun
