Hello,

I am using TMPGEnc (2.5, and some older version) to convert a few AVI (divx3) to MPEG2 SVCD.

The movies are about 50 minutis in length.

I have one Windows 2000 SP2 Server, one Win XP workstation and one Windows 98 workstation, all with the same version of Divx3 and TMPGEnc. On the W2K server it works great when I open an AVI, the lenght is exactly the same and the number of frames are exactly the same as Virtual Dub says in File Information.

But, on the other two pcs, the number of frames are wrong, the real number of frames is about 72000, and the Wxp and W98 pc are mistakenly encoding 270000 frames, ending up with a way too large file for an SVCD.

I have a work around, I am using Virtual Dub as a frame server but in this setup I cannot batch the AVI's?

Does anybody have an idea to solve my problem.

TMPGEnc does not return an error, he just encodes too much. The resulting MPEG2 stream is useless.

Hope you can help me.
Thanks & bye bye
Stefan
