Hi, I I know that there is a function which allow to crop the video in VirtualDub (cut the edges and this also cause video to get resized).
But I wonder if there is an option only to clip the edges (hide some parts).
I want to create an SVCD disk (watch it on tv set) - and tv signal which I've recorded previously to .AVI has a noises at the edges of the screen. I want to hide them (but not resize the video), because this parts of video will never be seen on TV set, and I think that such noises use to much of MPEG2 bitrate which can be better used on the other parts of screen.
Thank you for any help.
Best regards.
Patryk.

I don't know if you can mask in VirtualDub, but you certainly can in TMPGEnc (if that is your choice for encoding).
