  1. Hi,

I am pretty new to this capture/convert lark, but I seem to be doing OK.

I have a problem though. I have captured a Videotape as an AVI file using VirtualDub and converted it to mpg1 using TMPGenc. When I burned it to VCD though and played it on my home DVD, the sound stops about 3 minutes into the VCD, only to come back about 30 minutes later.

Since, I have checked the mpeg file in Windows and it does the same (obviously - i should of check b4 burning).

I have tried this a few times and always get Audio issues. Is there a fail-safe way to convert AVI-MPG at a reasonable qualty and with all audio intact?!

    Please help if you can,

    Rgds, Paul.

I extract the audio using Vdub first before I encode a capture wit TMPGenc.
Use the following guide to extract the audio.

May the force be with you.
