  1. OK, firstly sorry if this is on this site somewhere I have looked but want to know the best result.

I have downloaded several Friends episodes, they are all AVI files. I want to put them on to cd in such a way that they will play on my DVD player (which is VCD compatible etc). I have got as far as converting a couple of episodes (using TMPENC - although I am not exactly sure how to do it correctly) and burning them just as a data disc - they played, but no fast-forward or anything, you had to watch the whole thing in one go. I have now encoded a few more episodes, but when i try to burn them (Using Nero 5.5.5.1) I keep getting an error message.
What am I doing wrong? - or what would be better software to use?

THX in advance for any help with this.
