this is what happen when I try to encode on tmpge. living in the states I use 44,100hz this usally happens on 48,000 hzs films.
when i install on virtualdub to split the audio and video i get the following.
VD has detected an improper vbr audio etc etc. If I split audio and install and install the movie in video and the wav in audio it is out of synch. Should I put a split video and wav in tmpge. Or is there a setting that will let me split audio without getting the improper vbr audio.
first post let's see what happens

if Vdub reports VBR audio stream (from a downloaded Divx I would guess), the use vdub with direct stream copy to extract this audio stream to a seperate file. Then use a tool that can handle VBR audio correctly, such as beSweet, to convert to uncompressed PCM wav file.
There is also a tool called decompress.exe (search on google for it) that will take your avifile and produce a copy but with uncompressed PCM audio. You can the process it as normal.
Either of these may solve your problems, let us know how you get on.
