  1. Can I edit an Avi in VDub then Frameserve it without saving it first.

The Avi is a capture which is split into the max 2 gig segments (due to Fat32 etc). So if I save the file after editing, will it still be in it's max 2 gig segments or can it only save as a complete avi ?

    Thanks.

    Tone.

Yes. You can certainly do that. And that is my preferred way of using Virtualdub.

As far as saving your captured AVI, I dont know. I tried saving a few months ago when I first started using it. It was taking too long, so I aborted the save.

As a side note, when you capture with Virtualdub, the file is saved on your hard drive (in your case various 2 GB segements). All you have to do is find the captured AVI file and make sure additional segments box is checked.....and walla.....you see your video. But you probably knew this.
