  2. The PSX (big old model) had an add-on that you would plug into the back and would decode VCDs.

  3. actually all psx and ps1 can play vcd's, you just need the vcd add-on.

  5. for the psx's its a vcd card, similar to a gameshark only bigger. (this is external)

for ps1, its like a modchip monted ontu a board (fits internally)

for ps2, its a boot disc similar to the one doe the dreamcast although this one plays good : )

  7. The AVI or MPEG player you talking about is called GYPLAY and it works on dreamcast. Playing movies with this gives you great quality like a DVD playr or ps2 would give you. The only problem burning a movie like this is that it can only be played on a dreamcast and pc.

Great Quality? Are you being sarcastic?

  9. No. GYPLAY has really great qaulity. the VCD player for Dreamcast succz tho, big time. if GYPLAY could play vcd's it would be great but it can't you have to put the dat/mpeg on a cd with gyplay.

Are your videos encoded at a bitrate around 800kb/sec? The DC is known not to be able to go above that. It gets choppy on anything higher.

  13. the vcd's are standard format. Yeah it not as choppy just out of sync mostly.
