Siimilac,
Am I missing something?
Can you burn DVD-R with a DVD+RW burner?jasQfix -
I was under the impression that he was just trying to read a DVD-R disc, not burn to one...Originally Posted by charlestan

The five competing formats for DVD burning are: DVD+R, DVD+RW, DVD-R, DVD-RW and DVD RAM.
Most DVD burners usually can burn only one of the flavors althouth newer ones can burn two if they are of the same category (i.e. +R and +RW or -R and -RW).
Some standalones can play both categories, but record only one type.
If you have a +R or +RW burner, then buy only +R or +RW disks. -
Then why say "read" and "access" then?

What do you think you can read in an empty DVD writable disc?Originally Posted by Kusanagi

Beats the hell out of me, though XP will bring up half a dozen choices if blank media is inserted. Why don't you ask Similac? Instead of going all huffy-puffy on what seems to be a typo.Originally Posted by Kennyshin
