Hey for the longest time I've been trying to make Gladiator into a 16 x 9 format, but it always comes out at just about full screen. I've tried tons of different resolutions and video arrange methods, but nothing seems to work. Can someone please list the exact settings to use to make a perfect 16 x 9 widescreen. Oh yeah, I don't know if this makes a difference, but when I play the movie in media player and WinDVD, it has the right ratio. Once I burn and play in my Apex, it fills most of the screen. It shouldn't be my DVD player though, I've played many svcds that are in widescreen. Thankyou in advance for any help you can give.

OK, for 4:3 video, then the resolution is 720x480. If you want to keep the width the same, and change the vertical resolution so you get letter boxed video on a 4:3 monitor, the new resolution would be 720x360, or 60 black lines (pixels) above and under the video image. You cannot make a DVD with the 16:9 ratio of 960x480 pixels, you will have to make it 720x360 plus the 120 black pixels.
