green blocks and stuttering

i re-encoded apocalypse now redux with rempeg, authored with spruce up and burned with prassi. i used dvdpro dvd-r media then played in my set top sony ns700p player and got mad green blocks everywhere. so i thought it was the media, and used the pioneer dvd-r that came with my a04 and got the same thing, green blocks almost everywhere.
i played the authored .vob files with power dvd on my computer and it played perfect. i don't know what i need to do to make a good copy. anyone know??? i need some help

allright, i just burned the same movie to a generic dvd-rw and it works fine. what the #@!* ?
