I know,
but i saw more of this images. I don't know if it is just a DVD cover rip or something like that but i just want to have it on my SVCd's if it is possible. -
No, it is not possible. SVCD does allow for multichannel MPEG audio. This would allow for 5 seperate analog channels of audio. however, you would need a linux based program to make such an audio stream. Then you weould need one 2% of receivers on the market that would actually deocde the multichannel mpeg properly into the different channels instead of decoding it down to Dolby Pro Logic like the all the rest of the receivers out there do.

Thanks,
Know i use Dolby Surround in my SVCD's, but some small sounds (like a falling glass) sounds much louder on a stereo system. how is this possible?
and should i encode to Stereo 224 Kbps or to Dolby surround? 224 Kbps?
In my opinion the Dolby Surround quality is not that good.
Greetings,

well first you can not encode into Dolby Pro Logic Surround. Dolby Surround is strictly a decoding procedure that is done on a stereo channel. It takes a 2 channel stereo signal and derives the rest of the information for other speakers from it. For my personal tastes, 224 kbps is overkill for SVCD, I usually drop mine down to as low as 160 is as far as I will go. Some other poeple have posted that go as low as 128.

If you are downmixing 5.1 to Dolby Surround, my advice is to turn off dynamic range compression. It can result in odd volumes on the resultant VCD.
Normalisation is probably okay but I personally just suggest that you turn up the volume of your speakers...
