I am trying to figure something out
I have the MMC 7.6 with AIW ATI Radeon 32mb DDR
I also have the Creative Audigy
I am trying to find out why is it that I can not adjust volume in the MMC 7.6 & the audio only works if I have the Line IN or the CD Audio muted ( one of those two )
    Odd problem

How do you have the Audio hooked up? I have the AIW rage 128 pro with Creative Audigy card and I have it hooked up via the short jumper cable that comes off the AIW to line-in.
May the force be with you.

    Thanx
I do have the audio cable going from the CDRom to the AIW then from the AIW to the CD In on the sound card,
however I have figured it out, it has to do with the drivers for Audigy, there is a HUGE post on rage3d.com regarding that problem.

You ( or anyone else ) can check it out here

    Thanx again

  4. This is a known problem.

Creative changed the way that the sound mixer was adressed by other dvices and software. Although every other soundcard manufacturer's card works fine with the ATI, Creative says that it is an ATI issue (although since it also effects other hardeare & software, I think that Creative is also working on the problem).

Rumor mill is that the problem is fixed in the newwst release of drivers. The new drivers are finished, but awaiting THX certification from Lucasfilm. And since Creative will not release any "uncertified" or beta drivers, we are all waiting.

You may wish to add your voice to the many others reguarding this problem at the Creative Newsgroup: news.creativelabs.com
