  1. I have a VCD which when I play hanged and there are many frame drops. Is there any way I can repair it.

    What did u use to burn the VCD?

    Maybe. Depends on what exactly is wrong. If you can copy the dat to your HD, then run it through VCDGear using dat>>mpg with fix errors selected. Then burn as VCD again using Nero or alternative.

  4. I did copy DAT file to c drive and use VCDGear, I had no problem converting it to mpg but when I play there are frame drops at end and some time media player hanged. Is there any utility I can fix it

    I would say you have done all you can. Instead of using VCDgear you could use TMPGenc's mpeg tools. Copy the dat to your HD. Change the file extension to mpg. Demultiplex it, and then multiplex it. Burn with Nero. Chances are high you will still get the same reult, though!

    Try MPEG Repair section. I've had some MPEGs hang on me (like they don't even play), and that kinda fixes it sometimes.

  7. Have anybody try to use the utility "FIXMPG1.exe". When I try this on command prompt

    c:\fixmpg1 mpegfile

    it out put to files
    mpegfile.mp2
    and
    agd.mpv

    Do basically it is spliting audio and video, but according to the descripation it sound fix broken mpeg. Does any one know correct command to fix mpg using this utility
