I am using a All-In-Wonder 128 Pro with MMC 7.6. I am recording a TV signal at 720x480 - MPeg-2. It captures fine and I use DVD2AVI to create a set of "masters" that I convert for VCD, Hi-Res (720x480), and SVCD.
When using TMPGEnc to create each format, the Hi-Res, and VCD have the same level of brightness as the origional; however the SVCD is significantly "Brighter", to the point of losing detail.
Since I am using the same "master" to create each version, why does this happen only to SVCDs. I've tried both the built in SVCD template as well as KingVipers SVCD Template.

I have found that using DVD2AVI video becomes "washed out" if I use the Video/YUV->RGB setting at TV Scale. Try PC Scale on your SVCD, gives me a much better picture on both my TV and PC.
