Mpeg2 audio not in synch

I am trying to capture 8mm tape to VCD / SVCD and noticed that the audio is in synch if I capture in mpeg1 but is out of synch if I capture in mpeg2.

Any ideas out there?

What is your player for the MPEG2 file? Try a different player.

Are you using MMC 7.5 or 7.6? I am using MMC7.6 and I have done a lot of 8mm tape captures and had no problem for Video Audio sync.
