To date I have created over 30 DVDs (more is you count my coasters). Yesturday I updated my firmware to 1.80. Now the first DVD I have authored with the new firmware does not play on my PC or set top box. I get disc is damaged or dirty messages. This is not a good sign.....
I use PrimoDVD to burn my DVDs and follow the same steps that I have always taken. While I try to figure out if 'human error' is the cause I was hoping that some of you might post you success/failure stories. If the firmware is at fault then I will need to make a case with Pioneer.

Dmonty:
You didnīt mention if you got your firmware from Pioneer or somewhere else.
I got mine from >NILīs page, and what I received is a 1.80 firmware (kernel and general firmwares) patched to RPC1, that is: MULTIREGION CAPABLE!
Of course I went into trouble immediately, but if you wanna know how I did it, follow this link to another post of mine.
