A quick comment about something I noticed while playing around last night.
My main computer which I use for encoding and conversion is an Athlon XP1700+, KT7A Raid with 512Mb 3x40Gb (2x in a stripe for capturing) etc..., anyway computer spec is not the issue.
I was using WinDVD for playback as well as Media Player. When I played back files Audio sync was fine, but when burnt to VCD audio was a little skewed.
Anyway I put a Hollywood Plus card in the system and removed WinDVD, when I played back the files (thru the H+) the audio was out of sync again.
Perhaps the fact that the hardware decodes more efficiently (??) causes this to happen.
Has anybody else experienced / noticed something similar?

It's always nice to see someone that shares your misery, right?........ So here I am!!!!!!!!!!
Interesting fact, I also work with an Athlon 1700+, but mounted on an ECSK7S5A... It happened to me over last weekend for the first time, with 2 different files!!! (while others were OK) Half-way through the newly created mpeg1 (VCD Standard), the audio get out of sync of about 1 to 2 seconds... The original file is oddly OK!
Would be great getting hepll from anyone out there - glad I could share my misery with someone - I do have to mention I have tried everything to fix this, and nothing will do...
