i have just downloaded a file from kazaa. It is an smr version of Episode 2
(its an .avi file)
i have win xp and the media player that comes with it. I also have Divx5.

Divx wont open it. and win media player just plays a blank screen and no sound.

Is there another playwer i should get, or a codec?
Or have i just dwnloaded a bogus file?

tools section smr patch might do it
if that doesn't try nimo codec also in tool section

if windows media player didn't say you needed a codec it's probably a fake, it does happen alot on kazaa. some ppl just make a big blank video file, why? who knows.

do you have the MPEG4-V3 version of the codec.
