I usually do my dvd rips using DVD2AVI forced film, producing a 23.976 framerate then encoding using gordianknot divx 3. Will this produce the same 20% bitrate gain as IVTC? If not, can someone help me by telling me how to IVTC properly?
Thanks

Forced film and IVTC both accomplish the same end result. Only bother with IVTC if you are having problems with forced film.
