Hi, sorry if this is a stupid question, i'm a little new to this. I was able to use vdub to join a couple of avi files, then TMPGEnc to convert them to mpeg2 type, then SpruceUP to author and burn a few times, but there is one file that is causing me a problem. Recently I had two new avi files, they wouldn't join with vdub for some reason, but played fine on my computer. I converted both of them to MPEG2 type files, and the 2nd file plays fine, the first file plays for about 10 seconds then freezes, but the audio keeps going. I've used TMPGEnc to redo the file a few different ways, i've extracted the wav file and used it as the audio source when building the MPEG2 file too...i've also tried joining both of the mpg files together which seemed to work fine, but it still freezes for some reason..it gives no errors and gives no errors when joining the two files either. Right now i'm trying to burn it anyway (got the chapters done and everything) with spruce, even though its only about 4.4gigs total, its saying its too big to be burned on the dvd...so i'm burning it to a image file and then going to try burning it to DVD using Nero or something else I guess....anyway...are there any programs out there that you know of that can repair a corrupted MPEG2 file? Or is there anything else that could be causing these strange things to happen? Thanks for your time.
D.
P.S. Is it normal for TMPGEnc to take around 18-30 hours encoding a MPEG2 file? Thanks again.
