  1. I am using TMPGEnc 2.54.37.135 out of Premiere (via Avisynth) on a Pentium IV with 512MB Ram on Windows XP.

After about 15 minutes, I get the following message:

"Read error occurred at address 00481F6F of module 'TMPGEnc.exe' with 7f189A6A."

I am trying to finish a video for the parent's program at my daughter's kindergarten and I really need to convert the project to an MPG1 file so that we can give copies to the parents.

    Any suggestions?

  2. How do you enable usage of TMPGEnc in Adobe. What is the way of doing it?

  3. I would suggest that you try using VideoServer instead of AVISynth to frameserve out of Premiere ...... much more stable (especially on XP !!)

    Find it at www.videotools.net

    Hope this helps

Couple of ideas. The instructions I got for frameserving with Avisynth indicate to be sure DirectShow is turned off in the Enviroment settings in TMPGenc. This may be the problem (mine is very stable).

I assume you are frameserving for a reason but the other obvious choice if you are in a panic is save the file as an AVI (DV AVI if that is your source) then use TMPGenc directly. If the file exceeds the 2G or 4G limit of your system, just export in sections from Premiere, encode in TMPGenc, then merge with the MPG tools in TMPGenc.
